2023 Hudson Junior Open summer tennis tournament

HTA is pleased to offer Hudson and surrounding communities a USTA Level 6 summer tennis tournament.

HTA has partnered with SOAR Tennis Academy to run our 1st annual Hudson Junior Open.

Come enjoy Hudson High School's beautiful tennis courts on what should be a wonderful weekend of tennis! 

Many draws will play their first rounds on Friday night under the lights with the goal to wrap everything up on Saturday. Some draws may need to spill over to Sunday

This is an outdoor only event so please plan to be flexible as weather issues require

Everyone will play a minimum of 2 matches & all matches will use the Fast 4 scoring (play to 4, 7 point tiebreak at 4-4, 7 point tiebreak if split sets). Maximum 1 event per player and registrations across divisions in not allowed.

Girls Singles Event

12 & Under Singles Only

14 & Under Singles Only

16 & Under Singles Only

18 & Under Singles Only

Boys Singles Event

12 & Under Singles Only

14 & Under Singles Only

16 & Under Singles Only

18 & Under Singles Only

USTA Tournament Levels explained

L7 Tournaments - Open Intermediate Sectional Events

1-day event; 2-match minimum, 4-match maximum. These events are open to anyone. If there is a limited draw, a bottom-up selection process will be used for this level, which means players with no ranking will be selected first. The 12U division will offer green and yellow ball events.  

L6 Tournaments - Open Intermediate Sectional Events

Up to 3-day events; 2-match minimum, 4-match maximum, and open to anyone.  Selection process for this level is based on ranking.

L5 Tournaments - Open Advanced/Intermediate Sectional Events 

Up to 3-day events; non-elimination and open to anyone. Up to 36 L5 events will be sanctioned in the Eastern section. Selection process for this level is based on ranking.   

L4 Tournaments

Up to 4-day events; Open and Closed events, with Closed events limited to Eastern Section players. Selection process for this level is based on ranking. 

L3 Tournaments

3+ days National or Sectional events; L3 tournaments will be Closed events limited to Eastern section players. Selection process for this level is based on ranking. 

L2 Tournaments -National L2 and Section/Intersectional Team Competition

3+ day National events. Selection process for this level is based on ranking.

L1 Tournaments - National Championships, National Team Events and selected ITF events

 4+ day National events. Selection process for this level is based on ranking.

The Soar Tennis Academy is committed to helping players of all ages and skill levels advance in their enjoyment of the game of tennis as well as in their ability to perform it at a higher level. We primarily offer group drills while also offering the chance to set up private/small group lessons if desired. Finally, it is our goal to utilize the game of tennis to develop men and women of strong character and advanced skill who excel in all areas of life.
